In line with its commitment to practical education, Hunan University of Science and Technology's (HUST) School of Foreign Languages has strengthened its business English curriculum by creating a new partnership with the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-commerce Association. This collaboration aims to blend theoretical learning with hands-on experience, ensuring that students graduate as qualified professionals ready to meet the demands of the business world.
After multiple rounds of discussions, both institutions agreed to establish the Hunan University of Science and Technology — Shenzhen Cross-Border E-commerce Association School-Enterprise Cooperation Employment Training Base. This strategic move was designed to not only improve the quality of business English education but also provide students with real-world exposure to the e-commerce sector.

On December 23, 2016, the signing ceremony took place at the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-commerce Association's Innovation Hub. Key figures in the event included Professor Zhou Qiang, Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages at HUST; Long Ying, Deputy Party Secretary; Yang Jiang, Vice Dean; and Xiang Jilin, a teacher from the Department of Translation and Business English. They were joined by prominent guests from the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-commerce Association, including President Huang Yue, Vice Presidents Chen Liuyu, Lan Xiuqin, Li Wenbin, and Secretary-General Shi Wenying.
The ceremony was simple yet filled with a spirit of cooperation. Both sides officially signed the partnership agreement and unveiled the plaque that marked the start of this exciting collaboration.

After the signing ceremony, the delegation from HUST visited local businesses such as Shenzhen Lixin Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Holidaypac Cardboard Display Products Co., Ltd. This provided valuable insights into these companies' innovative products, trade practices, and long-term development strategies.

The launch of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Employment Training Base represents a new milestone for the School of Foreign Languages.
